Η Dr. Angeliki Florou is a chemist graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1996). She obtained her PhD from the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry of the University of Ioannina (2001). The subject of her doctoral dissertation was the development of semi-disposable sensors. She has got a great experience on the development of electrochemical and membrane sensors, on the development of immunosensors with quantum dots and other electroanalytical techniques. Her scientific work includes 12 papers published in international peer-reviewed journals and she had taken part in various international and national conferences. Dr. Florou is working as Laboratory Teaching Staff at the Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry and she is responsible for the management of the Laboratory of Instrumental Analysis and the Screen-printed Electrochemical Sensors Unit.

Eleni Tzianni is a Ph.D Candidate of the Department of Chemistry of the University of Ioannina (UOI). She obtained her B.Sc and MSc degrees in Chemistry at UOI. Her research interest focused on the development of electrochemical sensors and biosensors, the construction of analytical devices for the determination of biochemical markers in biological samples, the development of stimuli-responsive polymer films, the immobilization of enzymes in polymer films, the design and fabrication of screen-printing electrodes and the modification of electrodes by electrical discharge. She has worked in the Department of Analytical Chemistry at Palacky University in Olomouc, Checz Republic and she has visited the laboratory of Analytical Chemistry at Masaryk University in Brno, Checz Republic. She has taken part in international conferences with both poster and oral presentations.

Alexandros Lazanas is a Ph.D. Candidate of Analytical Chemistry in the Chemistry Department at University of Ioannina. He obtained his B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Materials Science and Engineering at UOI. His research interest focused on the synthesis of conjugated polymers and nanocomposite carbon structures as well as material characterization using SEC, UV-Vis, XRD, Raman, SEM, DSC και TGA/DTA and Cyclic Voltammetry.
